What is IPO GMP?

GMP (grey market premium) is the unofficial premium at which IPO shares are said to trade before listing. A GMP of ₹50 on an issue priced at ₹500 suggests the grey market expects a listing near ₹550.

How is the estimated listing price calculated?

Estimated listing price = upper end of the price band + GMP. The percentage shown is GMP divided by the upper price band.

Is IPO GMP reliable?

No. GMP is unregulated, differs between sources and can change sharply before listing. Actual listing prices often differ from it. Use it as sentiment, not as a forecast.

How often is the GMP updated?
